might as well

as stillness

By susan marie loehePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

We might as well place our hands on that giant sharp tilting blade,

and push down on it with all the bodily force we can muster.

That plane ain't takin off unless we give it a good crank.

It's not like we can shake some sense into the sky,

or that it's perfect stillness needs tweaking.

That some winds are sweeter than others, depends entirely

upon your personal preference.

There's reason, and there's sense only on singular levels,

but (lalalalalala)the level

bubble can be stable at way off plumb.

We might do well to

watch our sixes

or maybe our nines.

The sky won't get dirty from our kicking around sounds

and I feel fly today.

We so money, we don't need a thing.

Give us a kiss.
