Midnight Whisper

Hiding and Running

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

Your touch is like a midnight whisper

That gently caresses my soul

With passion coursing through my veins

That leads to tremendous heights of joy

And oceans of otherworldly ecstasy

For so many years, we searched for each other

And I ran and hid from my feelings for you

And yet you waited and stayed still so patiently

Until we finally found a safe place to call love

And it was almost too late

Now I feel your skin shivering next to mine

And I no longer am afraid to look into your eyes

All my foolish fears have been banished

That needlessly lived in my mind

I can now hold you in my arms forever
