Midnight Maunder

Beyond the stellar forest deep, there lies the cosmic shore.

Nascent echoes of dreaming come,

Drifting on winds of night;

A glimpse of the wakeless kingdom,

Revealed in pale moonlight.

Their whispers lead you through the dark to gleaming paths so bright,

Reaching to our lunar matriarch, where all your dreams take flight.

A drifting, hazing shift of thought,

Away from Earth so dense,

Far from a waking life so fraught,

To the cosmos immense.

Step along the path of moonbeams, pass through planes unseen

Into realms of boundless dreams, the liminal space between.

Essences of light and silence,

Adrift among the stars,

Guide you on through your astral sense

To venture untrod paths.

Beyond the stellar forest deep, there lies the cosmic shore.

Celestial trees veiling sleep through unconsciousness’s door.

A sterling midnight to maunder,

Holding your partner’s hand.

Gaze across the ocean’s wonder,

Dancing through sea and sand.

Rest a while beside the water calm, breathing in its peace,

Lay your heart in its soothing balm, where time itself may cease.

Meeting yourselves upon the shore,

Mirroring side by side,

Knowing you need worry no more,

Carried on ocean’s tide.

Keep to the stars on your journey, for they shall steer you right.

Soon the dreaming shall be blurry, as dawn is cresting bright.

And though we may wake from dreaming, its essence shall still stay,

For the blissful calm of feeling remains at break of day.
