Merging into one

Together but for a moment, that is our eternity

Merging into one

I can feel you falling into my body,

making us one,

a quiet storm, a breathless tide,

where time unravels, undone.

Your whispers trace the curve of my skin,

a soft pulse, a tremor deep,

binding us in places where silence

breathes louder than words could ever speak.

In the dark, we’re not two,

but the space between heartbeats,

the places where souls don’t ask

but simply trust to be.

I can feel you,

every inch, every flame,t

and in this merging, we become

both fire and the quiet of rain.

In the stillness, you are everywhere,

your essence wrapping ’round my soul,

filling the empty spaces with your touch,

until I no longer feel whole, but whole.

I hear you in the heartbeat of the night,

in the breath between each sigh,

our souls entwined like threads of fate,

woven without question, without why.

This dance, this rhythm,

we’ve known it long before this time,

in a place beyond earth’s grasp

where our love is neither reason nor rhyme.

I can feel you falling into my body,

and in this moment, we are free,

not two, not one.

Just everything internally.
