It’s shameful and so sad to see
How quickly we’ll condemn
We judge despite a heartfelt plea
And yet we’re just like them
If someone’s guilty, how we fuss
It’s “Justice” we demand
Yet, if the courts were judging us
Bring “Mercy” to the stand
Extending mercy is the key
It’s vital we forgive
If one forgives, there’s two set free
Then both can truly live
Since every person’s born in sin
It’s judgement we must face
Thank goodness “Mercy” had a twin
Its sibling we call, “Grace”
About two thousand years ago
A Man was crucified
And just in case some didn’t know
His mercy was applied
