Memory's a counteractant for death.

Each affection recalled doesn't completely kick the bucket.

Perhaps one figures friends and family will review

One's penance saved in custom,

Recovered by more than meets the covered eye.

In reverence do the fallen draw their breath.

All, then, have a stake in memory,

Living in the praiseworthy expectation due.

Passing could all decimate, yet all the same all

Act with their posthumous lives in view,

However yearning to be adored in universes to be.

Thank you a lot for reading my poem.

I hope you like my poem. Your encouragement means the world to me.
