Memory

The time sure flies

From across the room

On the visiting chair

With a melancholy of emotions

And shiny black hair

You were sitting

Waiting for someone

Like a beautiful lotus in the pond

I felt like I have seen you somewhere

A weird sense of nostalgia

And awkward sense of familiarity

When I saw your face

I remembered the streets of our city

Even after seven years

With same honey-coloured eyes

Wrinkles on your face

I realized the time sure flies

I couldn’t tell you then

Can't tell you now

How much I loved you then

And how much I love you now

Suddenly you saw me

Your eyes expanded

For a moment there

Again, my heart melted

You smiled at me

And walked towards me

With every second passing

I felt the younger me

But the ring on your finger

Kept me on the ground

When you talked to me

I couldn’t make a sound

After a small talk

After a good bye

Just like a memory again

I saw you walking by

I couldn’t tell you then

I couldn’t tell you now

How much I loved you then

How much I love you now
