Memories that Haunt: A Poem of Heartbreak

Poison kill me one time in life, But your memories killing me everyday and every second.

By La Complan BoyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

She was the light that lit my life,

My everything, my universe, my wife,

I'd do anything to keep her near,

With her by my side, I had no fear.

She was the sun to my daylight,

The stars to my night, so bright,

I woke up every morning with a smile,

Knowing she'd be there, every mile.

But fate was cruel, and tore us apart,

My parents' dispute broke my heart,

I can't forget her, no matter how I try,

Her memories linger, and make me cry.

Each thought of her is like a knife,

Stabbing my heart, taking my life,

I can't bear the pain, I can't forget,

My love for her, I'll never regret.

I miss her every day and night,

My soul aches to hold her tight,

But destiny has its own plan,

And I must move on, the best I can.

Someday, I hope we'll be reunited,

Till then, I'll keep her memory ignited,

She was my world, my life, my dream,

And though she's gone, my love still gleams.
