Memories of the sun

Sun kissed

By CtheseiraPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

There’s sun still on my skin

From that day by the pool

Angry red skin staring back at me, makes me stop and think of you

Flaking skin falls from the blades of my shoulders

Buts it’s alright for skin heals over time

Paling skin serves as a reminder of what’s lost

Moments fading turning into memories of the past

But I can’t help but miss the moment .

Two by the pool but ones not really there,

One reminiscing about past days while the other can’t help but stare

There’s sun still on my skin

But it’s slowly starting to fade

Dawn turns to dusk

And the memories etched into my heart are numbed with pain

sad poetry
