Memo to the Future

Dear Future Self,

As I sit here writing this letter,

I wonder where you are in life.

Are you happy, healthy, and free?

Or do you struggle with strife?

I hope that by the time you read this,

You have found your place in the world.

That you have chased your dreams and passions,

And your life is unfurled.

I hope that you have found true love,

And that it fills your heart with joy.

That you have built strong relationships,

And that they will never destroy.

But if life has not been kind to you,

And you have faced trials and pain,

Remember that you are strong enough,

To get up and try again.

Reflect on the past, my dear future self,

But don't dwell on what has gone wrong.

Look towards the future with hope and faith,

And let your spirit sing its song.
