Mellow Yellow

An Empath In Color

Spring has sprung

Flowers have bloomed

Summer is approaching all too soon.

I stand

With the bright yellow sun kissing my melanin skin

And the breeze ever so gently brushing my curls.

I smile at what I have taken in.

I take in the cries of the lost ones trying to be found.

I take in the grief of a loved one.

I take in anger when one is hurt.

I take in anxiety when one is worrisome.

I shine bright

I provide guidance and healing.

I beam bright so that you can grow.

I dry your tears

I give you nutrition.

I remind you of the importance of water.

When I arrive, the birds chirp.

The clouds fade

Being an empath is my superpower, but yellow is my strength.

When my cup runneth over, I pour into those who don't know their strength or power.

I breathe life into one's depressed body.

I nurture when you're broken.

I force you to take care of yourself.

Without this power, I wouldn't know what to do.

I remove the gloom so you can bloom.

And you can one day be bright, mellow & yellow like me.
