Mellow Meditations

It was a whim that brought me here

I'm always appearing at some road's beginning

Never knowing how my wandering steered

me towards the course, but I cant complain, I'm winning

I'm up above where I used to be

watching down on this new version of me

It seems a while since I reflected on who I am

The tasks I can perform well and others that I can't

What do I do with this newly molded version

I'm still me, but quite a different person

and I feel I can jump ahead any lengths

Tired of crying tears down a kitchen sink

There are things I wish to manifest

They are simple matters that don't take long to guess

A home free from struggle

nights alone with my love and my child

These things are what drive me to work and drive for miles

It is not the easiest life all the time

However, right now I feel more than sublime

Pouring over words of joy and contentment

I know in these moments I need not relent

there is so much I am striving to attain

once I have them I can be proud of my name

until then I will tow this load that awaits me

I will not let negativity grate me

It is merely twists in a ladder game

I will know peace even if I never know fame.

I leave my chances to fate

and to find out what is in store I simply cannot wait.
