Meeting it Where it Is
Pondering the Eternal Fleeting Nature of Time
By Anthony CornatzerPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

Like the fading embers
And rays
Of light,
How do we hold on to it all
Before it dies out?
Like trying to catch
The sea,
Or the grains of time,
How do we keep in place
What we strive to never forget?
Perhaps we meet it
Where it is.
For light burns warmth,
As much as it will all fade away.
And the beckoning tides
And ceaseless grains of sand
Will fall
And only to rise again
Far after our time here...
To give way
For yours.
