Meditation with Color
In the morning I sit and breathe deep into my belly.
As I hold my breath, cornflower blue floods my brain.
I feel the calm of a soft warm meadow.
My heart opens the day ahead.
The busy bodies at the farmers market are like a heartbeat through time.
Smiles, tastes and kind exchanges surround the bright strawberries.
I hold up a plump blueberry that is ready to burst.
A local scene found across the globe.
Walking on the mountain trail, I smell hot pine needles.
Their scent is released with each step I take.
I am surrounded by soft mule ears in full bloom.
The forest’s yellow room.
On our pink couch my love and I span time.
Vibrant conversations about the world are wrapped in hope for the future.
We listen to the wind outside.
Nights turn into life.
With the windows open, the room is crisp.
I shake out the quilt with vibrant batiks of coral orange, turquoise blue, sunlight yellow, and delicate petal periwinkle.
Speckles, pops, splats and clouds spill across the bed.
Elegant dreams of inspiration await.
