Meditation
What is the meaning of life?
The meaning of life
is not an absurdism.
.
It's not a number.
.
There is no rule,
covenant,
or stricture
.
which properly
encapsulates the brilliance
.
of the concept.
.
But we know. The ones,
who write. The ones
.
who pour philosophy
out in coffee shops
with friends
.
who think large thoughts
but earn
small paychecks.
.
The ones who burn at both ends,
the flaming ones,
.
the ones married to process
and never completion.
.
The ones in their seventh
year of college.
Undergrad.
.
Sociology,
pharmacology,
political science,
.
triple major. They know.
.
The ones in that poly
triangle relationship.
And it works!
.
The ones who read
bad poetry
in packed coffee houses
and do it unapologetically.
With flair,
then go viral on youtube.
.
The ones recovering
from poly triangle
relationships.
.
Especially the ones who've
lost everything.
.
Even the drunk,
trying to stay sober
for the seventeenth
time.
.
The dude knows.
.
Also, the bipolar
trauma survivor. The one
trying to believe
anything
is real at all.
.
if we are to understand
our plight, we must know
the question itself
is busted.
.
Life is only meaningful,
in flaming
.
first person glory. Our destination
unknown. Street sign unreadable.
.
In the passenger
seat, life is an absurdism,
a number, 42.
.
Behind the wheel,
the question is unnecessary.
the meaning is in the doing,
and so the question,
is always resolved.
