Meditation

What keeps me grounded but also growing

By TyPublished about a month ago 1 min read

On every inhale, silence rushes in

-

A deep breath of air

Circulating through every part of you

Like a spiral that goes on and on and on

Painted in the sand

Where the tide can’t reach it

I would see spirals in my coloring book when I was a kid

With the objective: stay inside the lines

In between those lines,

I would abstractly draw multi-colored snakes

Circling and slithering

On and on and on

Creating a beautiful mosaic of scales,

filled with iridescent illusions

That would capture your gaze

Holding you close

So you know they are real

I love looking at stained glass

And how the light illuminates the multi-colored stains

When placed by a window that filters in the sunlight

Tracing lines that hold color within

-

Inviting you to think about what it would be like

To be made out of glass shards

Stained

And crafted piece by piece by piece

On every exhale, silence rushes in

-

A deep breath of air

Rises through you

Incoming tides

Resetting

Washing

Occupying

The sandy canvas

That made those glass shards
