The carcass calls to a century old crime

Where fingerprints weren't held hostage this time

A dead meat story

The killer achieved his glory

We look for the mask that he wears

We listen for the thoughts he shares

But we can't find him anywhere...

Because what we are looking for, we will not find

He's just a glimpse inside the human mind

Where chaos is awry with blood and gore

There is no significance anymore

We feed into this type of scene

We wonder constantly what it could mean

Biased and bloody, we continue to search

While the vulture overlooks us on his perch

He says that he must be discriminated

But apparently he remains jaded

He tries to explain his reason for the kill

And he won't stop until he gets his fill

We all eat up the desire

That the soul only goes higher

But wait until he gives the explanation

Leaving us all in contemplation

I swear he's smarter than we'll ever be

But he hung his noose upon that tree

We will never understand

This menace was never planned
