What happens to the pennies we have lost?

Not that I am concerned about the cost,

I am afraid my coin has a’flown,

Into a compartment; alone,

Coppers and pockets; star-crossed!

A/N: A little limerick for you all. I always found that one of life's curiosities is - what happens to the pennies we all lose? It is a universal question that holds an absurd meaning!
