Meaning of Engineer

Dear Workforce,

As technology rises, so does the name engineer.

Thus the meaning starts to become unclear.

Why are writers who use AI called a prompt engineer?

Why are the people who use a sound board called an audio engineer?

When they are not the ones who created the technology, how insincere.

The ones who made an invention want their job title to premiere

that their importance is something to cheer.

The others that maintain are a technician, not an engineer.

If not, the meaning behind the title will disappear,

while everyone finds a way to call themselves an engineer.
