Me And Two Old Guys Driving Down The Road. Is It Sense Or Nonsense?
Writing and rhyming while riding in the backseat
Can I borrow your pen?
Say again?
Don’t forget where and when
However, could I forget
with you bugging me about it
~
Driving to a meeting
on this lovely Thursday morning!
Music blaring, “You don’t need an invitation”
we heard from two of the older generation
~
Rough around the edges they
are reminding me of Grandpa who used to say
“I’m always helping those old folks”
I’m sure the two upfront will say that about me and not in-jokes
~
Hi Ed — Good morning!
Hi Dear — Were you snoring?
Looks all clear over here
One more bad month — all week nice I hear
Enjoy the week cause it will cool down
Well that can cause a frown
~
What about that copter-plane accident?
Terrible, horrible incident!
Lots of life lost
many figure skaters lost their life
was a big cost
a plane and helicopter went down, and so much strife
You never know when your time is over
Time to enjoy and smell the clover.
~
Are we almost there?
Almost where?
You know
I don’t think so
Not sure what you are talking about
You make me want to shout.
Nevermind
kiss my behind.
What sass?
I could have said ass!
