Me And My Boy

Kids love to hear parents read to them.

By Darla M SeelyPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Story time with my boy--

Innocent and it brings me joy.

Listens to me with wide eyes.

Each day I watch how hard he tries;

Notice each look of surprise,

Comfort him when he cries.

Each day I tell him not to tell lies.

    I don’t remember my mom reading books to me but I sure love reading about a mother reading to her son. I love that this does not just describe the act of reading but also the reaction of the child. Lies are bad, so I am happy that he’s being taught that the truth is the way to go. It was a good ending to the poem.
