Me

For Poppy's Prompts No. 13 - Greek Mythology Edition (Narcissus): Entry No. 1

Echo and Narcissus (1903) by John William Waterhouse

Link to Poppy's Challenge, No. 13:

Look at me.

I see

Myself and

No one else here...

My dear,

Please understand,

I cannot look away

For you

(But will you still stay

And never go?)

The water is clear

For the season...

Another glimmer...

It's true,

You have your reasons,

But you better

Leave me. I hear

No sound, you know,

Except this brook.

And I must look...

It's all I can bear to see.
