Maxwell

a poem for a stranger

You know how, sometimes, Tinder or Bumble conversations can take some really unexpected turns? Yea.

Well.

This was one of them.

*****

A man who wears heels,

A giant among men,

Understands, in part, what woman feels;

Worthy of meeting, then.

An angelic Smile,

The body of a God.

Is he without guile?

A rogue or a bawd?

Or is he saccharine-sweet?

Chivalrous, bold, and right?

Find me out then, when we meet,

On the morrow, or in a fortnight.

Is he a hero, villain or goon?

Only time will tell.

For now I’ll grant you this boon,

My dear, unknown, Maxwell.
