Maximum capacity

To the tune of “Tennessee Whiskey”

By Shelby MundayPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Met a girl in a bar yesterday,

She ordered a drink and sat down next to me. I could tell in an instant that there was no spark. Cause there ain’t room for nobody but you In this old worn out heart

Said I’m sorry to say this, but I just wouldnt feel right. Sitting here shootin the shit, letting you chase after me, tonight. Because there’s someone at home, who fills up all my empty spaces. When she looks at me with those whiskey brown eyes, it’s like she erases, everything. and everyone else that I’ve even seen. All the bad things I’ve weathered, she takes my tragedy.

It’d be unfair to you. I know it sounds strange. But have you ever had that one woman, who makes you wanna change? Drives you absolutely fucking insane? Cause that’s who she is to me.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, my hearts already reached maximum capacity
