A poem

You believe you're untouchable,

Yet the cracks in your mask are always there.

The crowd applauds your hollow show,

A fragile throne built on despair.

🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭

You pretend to be nice in front of the world,

But what I see up close is insecurity.

Hiding beneath a performance that never stops,

Demanding attention with false purity.

🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭

None of my scars came from an enemy,

They all came from people I loved.

The daggers were sharpened in 'loving' hands,

And innocence buried or shoved.

🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭

The only people I owe my loyalty to

Are the ones who never made me question theirs.

Not the masters of shifting promises,

But the ones who truly care.

🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭

The person who was never allowed to be heard

Is often the one telling the truth.

Silenced voices carve the deepest songs,

And wisdom blooms in youth.

🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭🎭

Tell them I’m the monster in your tale,

But don’t forget the chapter you wrote my name.

Your lies were the pen, your cruelty the ink,

And I was cast to bear the blame.

Write it in a book and mail it to the antagonists, it would make you feel so much better. But rising to a better you is good for your soul. I met a few of those along the way, some my own people. So i get it. Still, we made it - here we are. Hallelujah!
