Man Walks a Lonely Road

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By Mother CombsPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
A man walks a lonely road
In the fall, the leaves are red and gold.
He walks with a heavy heart,
His thoughts are filled with sadness.
He thinks of the loved ones he has lost,
And the good times they shared.
He knows that he will never see them again,
And his heart aches with grief.
But even in his sadness,
He finds a measure of peace.
He knows that he is not alone,
That others have walked this road before him.
And he knows that, in time,
His grief will fade.
The leaves will fall,
And the snow will come.
But the man will keep walking,
And he will find his way.
The road may be long,
But he will not give up.
He will keep walking,
Until he finds his way home.
