Man on the Moon

What do you see?

By A poem to youPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Silver sliver in the southwest sky

Winking slowly at lovers and like

But what do you know oh what do we show

The all seeing ever present why

That peers but never hears

Witness eye to our crimes

And listens but never christens our lies

Man on the moon who stalks morning light

And lost lady lune who haunts in the night

The winged watchers who hunt mourners cries

You saw me and he and her and who

And saw we and she and him and you

But just bowed your head

Prayed away the day

And bore no testimony of our silent demise
