Making Me Open Up

Just to Lock Me Again

She sat staring silently

While he exploded

And she felt her heart

Do the same

It started beating wildly

As he unloaded

He was a master with the dart

Hitting bullseye with every aim

The color drained from her being

Becoming a fragment of herself

Lost in a trance

Encased in his anger

Shot down by his decreeing

Wishing for help

Flipping in an instance

From safety to danger

The knot in her stomach

Twisted tighter and tighter

Until she felt she was a mere shadow

Of who she was

Her tears started their plummet

Wishing for a fighter

To relieve every blow

As he used against her all her flaws

Bringing her lower and lower

Until she could no longer stand

She couldn't even crawl

She could barely lift her head

Then suddenly it was over

And he was offering his hand

Another story on the wall

If you could only hear what he said
