History is filled with unremarkable people doing remarkable things
And when I say unremarkable I don't mean it in an offensive way, what I mean is these people came from very humble, even oppressive beginnings, nothing about them screamed they would change the world or make an impact
That is, until they did;
Abraham Lincoln: born in a one room log cabin, failed to obtain a political position 9 times, had a recorded nervous breakdown, and then became President
Martin Luther King Jr.: Born to a middle class family, a black man growing up in Jim Crow/ Segregated America, led a movement that spanned the nation
Napoleon Bonaparte: born to minor nobles (not a big deal) moved to France and could barely speak French, was bullied for his accent, his birth island, and his height, became the emperor of France
Frida Kahlo: born to an immigrant father and Mestiza mother (Mestizos were a low social class rank in Spanish Empire Mexico, little rights or money), was disabled through polio and severely injured in a bus accident, made some of the most significant modern art pieces to date.
Marie Curie: youngest of 5 kids, parents broke, taught basic lab-work by dad, parents had to open their own home to boarding children because they were so broke, lost her mom at 10, lost an older sibling at 13, became the first woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize
Harriet Tubman: Born a slave and grew up on a plantation, became one of, if not the, most prolific "conductor" on the Underground Railroad, freeing slaves from bondage
And so many more
So many more people, just like you, who had shit all to start their life with, by all intents and purposes unremarkable, and yet they managed to solidify their name in the halls of history even hundreds of years after their deaths.
So, I ask you this my unremarkable friend, how will you make history?
