Making Art on a Rainy Day
Inexpensive art with bonding time

On this rainy, soggy, chilly day,
we were cooped up inside the house,
with nowhere to go.
So, creativity came to the rescue.
I cut papers from magazines
and put them together,
with pleasing pictures
and inspiring words,
a New Year theme emerged.
My little daughter saw me busy,
enjoying the process,
making something aesthetic,
out of nothing,
and she wanted to express
her imagination as well.

Always supportive of creativity,
I supplied the materials,
and she created an adorable snowman,
with hat and scarf,
with mittens and pines.
And that is how
a rainy holiday was spent,
bonding and making art.
