Oh, Dear Sweet Regret,

I pondered our time together again last evening, and all of the ways you have impacted my life.

So, I wrote you a poem.

Please know, I have no intentions of writing, mentioning, or even speaking of you again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shoes on a wire,
hearts on a string
Hanging in the balance
Hope floats in between
Fate holds the answers
Secrets yet to tell
Fear becomes a cancer
Waiting feels like hell
Cherish every moment
Hold on for dear life
Life is your opponent
Time it’s weapon, like a knife
Never show your weakness
It craves the energy
The jury out to recess
Can’t touch your yesterday’s
Go on and smell the roses
Ignore the bloody thorns
Before the open-door closes
Cause, you can’t go back for more
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I will fill my days with all my heart can hold, never needing to reach for you again.

Fabulous farewell,

K
