thoughts:

i will try to remember the horrors of that time

the history that we all try to hide.

something within me wants to replay it

everything else...

well.

someone explain to our young'uns

that they do not know the truth of their past.

let them listen to our stories

of inevitable warfare

bloodshed

and death.

i do not want to repeat the horrors

we all block out so quickly

but i have to

it is a part of us

it is something we must remember.

do not ignore the past.

because we must learn from it.

-

Fin.

Learning about WWII.

Something i wanted to write about.

I hope that we always remember those who were involved in the Second World War.

Like George Santayana once said, those you forget the past are condemned to repeat it. Loved your poem!
