The Storyteller

By Madam PG CurryPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

There once was a girl who looked just like you.

She had so many talents, she didn't know what to do.

when asked what she wanted to be when she was all grown

all of the possibilities had her mind overblown.

She considered being a doctor, but she didn't like blood

She thought of being an archaeologist, but she didn't like mud

She was really, really good at so many things

like spotting clear diamonds in beautiful rings

Like painting a picture like she saw in her head

or cleaning her room and making her bed

She also could cook at a very young age and turned food into art like you see in a magazine page

She braided people's hair and adorned it with beads

She was precise with creativity, authenticity and speed

She planted seeds and watered them, so that they could grow

When she split her pants, she learned how to sew.

She also was a great babysitter

Everyone in the neighborhood left their babies with her

She told stories that made many children's eyes stretch

She wrote poems that rhymed, she could run, she could catch.

She could play the violin, just as smooth as you please. She remembered note after note like photographic memories.

She could dance on her toes. She could write, She could sing.

When she walked in a room, she would fill it with gleam.

There was nothing that she tried that she could not do, so it was hard to figure out which mission she should choose.

Time kept going and she still didn't know,

what to do, who to be, what was best, where to go.

Finally she looked in the mirror and did not see a little girl,

she'd grown into a beautiful woman

who would travel the whole world

She crawled, she walked, she skipped, she ran, she stood straight and tall on burning sand.

She miraculously realized that she is the one,

the greatest Storyteller of this generation.
