Lying Mirrors

Looking at the reflection but nothing to see

Wondering if they have any answers

The screams were in silence

The stares were excruciating

The blackness of darkness was staring at the light

There was nothing to be found

The looks were returned without answer

If there was anybody there they could not be seen

Staring but not seeing

Trapped but unable to escape

The rotating glimpses of the shadows that couldn't be seen were disturbing

The glow of the eyes was piercing

Except they did not possess eyes

They were looking outward but could not be seen within

The eclipse of darkness did not let any light out

The view from within was blinding

But the view from the other side was impossible to see

Getting lost from the outside was the only way in

Yet it was not possible to know the reality of what was being seen

All along we knew these must have been the lying mirrors

For Fun
