"Lantern Light" Challenge

stepping on holy ground

behind the one, you can be found

follow a light in the dark

pawns will march for a monarch

hear a story said aloud

deeds to make the weaker proud

with a fire burning bright

one can travel ages in the deepest night

history beholds the footpaths

led in flames without bloodbaths

through the forests blocking ways

even on the lightest days

where you’re headed, you can see

lit up circles where you’re free

stars appear all around

they want you to know you will be found

there’s a lantern I can see

whispering a bright “follow me”

to a future, lighter, step in

...a simple light can’t be a weapon

stars competing in the sky

some with beauty too hard to deny

fixed up points in worlds in spin

are you lost? “here’s how to win”

light-bringer

to the dead ringer

night, and I am, in the dark

I could look to a star or light my own spark.
