Loving a Stranger
The quiet echo of a once-in-a-lifetime glance
By Eunice KamauPublished 5 months ago • 1 min read

A lone figure walking into the fading light, a silent moment caught between strangers and memories — where paths cross only once, but the impact lasts forever.
I saw him once—
his handsome face,
the way he said hi to my name—
still lingers quietly,
whispering a what if.
How did he know my name?
Why did he vanish,
never to be seen again?
Was unknown love
just playing with my head?
And my mind,
why can’t it let go,
why does it cling to that moment,
telling my heart maybe,
just maybe—
it was real,
a once-in-a-lifetime love.
What haunts me more—
after all these years,
after love found its way to me—
is the silent question my heart still asks:
Where did he go?
Who was he?
Why did he leave such a mark?
