Love Takes Hold

The Cure

By Erin Rae PerryPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Erin Rae Perry - Just Like Fire (2020) (Oil on Canvas)

Eyes of faded forest, skin of pure snow,

Hair like the sun; beautiful, beaming gold,

Melodious voice; moonlit, bright, and full,

Soul of a child that will never grow old.

Like angels above, heart open for all,

A mission to enkindle all the Earth,

And even if no other heeds the call,

I will never have to wonder my worth.

My soul is littered with fallen stardust,

A technicolor galaxy within,

The product of which shall not ever rust,

Betrothed to the absence of dreadful sin.

One spark, set alight wildfire 'round the globe,

The cure for all disorder, love takes hold.

About the Creator

Erin Rae Perry

Grew up in a small town in rural Wyoming, where gravel roads are more common than city streets. Free spirit. One of a kind. Old soul. Creation. Expansion of the mind. A gallery of all that lies within those bounds.
