"Love's Reign: A Poetic Ode to Our Benevolent King and Beloved Homeland"

My eternal love to my King and Country

By Geeta Maya RaiPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
"King is My Religion"

In Bhutan's embrace, I find my home so dear,

A kingdom blessed by a King we hold near,

His Majesty, Kigme Khesar, noble and grand,

A guardian of our nation, a compassionate hand.

Land of thunder dragons, between giants we stand,

India and China, on either hand,

Yet our King, he stands tall, a beacon of light,

Guiding us through day and darkest night.

With forests lush, our nation does thrive,

Seventy-two percent, our nature does strive,

But 'tis not just the land, the beauty we see,

It's our King's selfless love, a boundless decree.

In the midst of a pandemic, when the world did cry,

Our King's sacrifice touched the sky so high,

He gave his time and appetite, for our welfare he'd strive,

In him, we see a hero, our hearts come alive.

I'm blessed to be born in this sacred domain,

Where our King's love and kindness always remain,

In Bhutan, we flourish, in harmony we thrive,

For our King and our nation, forever, we'll strive.

With love and respect, my heart does sing,

For Bhutan's King, to him, I cling,

In his sheltering grace, we find our way,

In Bhutan's embrace, we'll forever stay.
