Love on the A-Train

Subterranean serendipity

By Ryan BurkeyPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

Rush hour, crowded subway

Standing room only

Two hands reach

And meet

On the same handle

Apologies swapped

Eyes lock

Smiles form

A kindling fire is born

Between two strangers

Train lurches, balance subsides

Two bodies collide

Pardons exchanged

Fanning the flames

Of this kindling fire

Sparked by destiny’s fate

A fated encounter! Very hot! Especially when train itself causes them to collide. I especially love your subtitle too. Pleased to meet you. I'm Bill. I've subscribed to you. ⚡💙⚡

Interesting take. Love at first doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's magical. You painted that well.
