First Sight is just a Metaphor, For I have I've loved you long before..

I met him not at the arms of coincidence; nor at the hands of a cliché dressed in day dreams, but rather at the embrace of an irrevocable, and inevitable bond..

I saw him in the darkness that struggled to break free underneath my quaking breath. I saw him in the depth that never questioned the swim once our feet left the shallow shore. I saw him in the empty that threatened to eat me whole. And when he saw me, I knew without a doubt that I was home..

My soul remembered his, and his remembered mine; as if it were one in a whole that had been lost within a world fighting to keep us pieces. We collided, in one brilliant and beautiful, perfectly imperfect dance of light. I knew him, and he knew I, long before our eyes fell in love on that first night..

I met him at the edge of whom I was and am meant to be, and he saw me there with hope; unabashed in a moment of bliss to the hum that his heart beat for me, and that is all the answer I’ll ever need..

For love did not merely meet us at first sight; It met us at remembrance.
