Love me when I'm dead

Don't speak ill

By Laura ToddPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

No one will say that he was greedy

A dead man is always generous

Don't speak ill of the dear departed

Not so much said for the rest of us

You'll love me when I'm dead

As much as you all hate me now

The miracle of life

Will bless me when I take that bow

At every funeral I see them

More mourners than would speak to me

Sharing their words of love and wisdom

Remaking who they used to be

She was a wreck, wasn't she funny

He liked to kick dogs, how unique

She loved to travel and go shopping

He liked to upgrade her physique

I know I'm a downer, just ignore me, I'll bide my time

I can't wait to finally hear what's good about me

Cuz every

body in the ground's worth ten times one up here
