In your eyes there is a yearning

Heat that sparks in the night

Caress that kindles with a burning

A craving sort of light

-

Ravenous hunger in my heart

A thirst in this fiery abyss

This want in me will not depart

You must quench it with your kiss

-

Igniting in each other’s flesh

An inferno of desire

Legs and fingers intermesh

Carnal flames building higher

-

A glow around us of the flame

The blaze consumes it all

In firestorm we came

Each other’s names we call

-

Singed in scorching passion

Our love has left its mark

As embers, we lay ashen

Now smoldering in the dark
