Night skies and butterflies aflutter
In my mind filled with clutter
A sign saying "please recycle"
But I can't read
I can't read the warning signs
Right in front of my face
Butterflies can't recycle
They carry the load on their wings
Wings much stronger than I
Clutter continues to build
Like bricks and mortar
And I forgot how to breathe
The elephant sitting on my chest
Hasn't forgotten how to take my breath away
Hot air and anxiety
Seep through my veins
In a desperate attempt to escape the insane clutter and less than friendly elephant
Recycling has never been so important
Night skies and butterflies aflutter
In my mind
Of endless clutter
Dear mind: SHUT UP!
