Love Languages

He vows to be loyal to him.

By Kisama Riyo Published about a year ago 1 min read

Love comes suddenly like an arrow

Like a heartbeat or a fluttering eyelid

Calls like the call to prayer before its time

And beats the drums of Eid without Eid

Races time laden with longing

Keeps his secret no matter how much admiration bothers him

Denies himself to win his soulmate

And stubbornly faces all impossibilities

Publicly announces his secret about his beloved

Pledges to be faithful to him for the longest period

Approaches him asking for his hand and heart

His intentions are many but his goal is one

Like a child longing for a hug and a kiss

Sometimes he exceeds his hopes

To win what he sees as the purpose of his existence

And all his ambitions are a victory for him

Curses the most beautiful colors

And chooses the kindest types

Steals minds with the magic of his world

So he defeats emperors and chooses sultans

Supports the simple and the generous

He may hit his prey at first sight

And he may deal with matters as if he were a wise man

And exercises his right as he was ordered

He leads his rider wherever he wants

He addresses his beloved With the tongue of instinct

He teases his companions with all kindness

He does not allow his courtyard to be desecrated

He does not change his nationality no matter what

He is the product of a meeting, an appointment, or a coincidence

He may believe in luck or the touch of fate

And if he is real, he lives a long life

He fights evil for the sake of his beloved

And fills the world with stories and joys

He cuts the stream of whispers to their outlet

And carves out spaces that no feet have yet trodden

When love surrenders to its hunter

He receives warm embraces that embrace him

And he is martyred before his star rises

It feels like I'm reading a 'Ghazal' but in english 😩 Why is it so flowy and beautifully executed? Also the personifications of 'Eid', 'Sultan',and 'Prayer' add meaning to your poem 💖 keep writing Ali.
