Love

What is love?

It is not just the word we whisper,

nor the promise sealed in silence.

It is the trembling in the chest

when someone’s smile becomes

your favorite sunrise.

Love is not perfect—

it stumbles,

it breaks,

it heals in uneven patterns.

It is patience that waits,

forgiveness that bends,

and hope that refuses to vanish.

Sometimes, love is gentle—

like hands brushing softly in the dark.

Sometimes, it is fierce—

like a storm that teaches us

how strong our roots can be.

Love is not always forever,

but it is always true

in the moment it lives.

Even when it fades,

it leaves behind

a shape inside us

where something once burned bright.

Love is risk,

the courage to open doors

without knowing what waits inside.

It is the weight we carry gladly,

the pain we endure willingly,

the fire that makes us human.

what is love?

I would answer:

It is everything

that breaks us—
