Love Is

They say love is patient and love is kind.

Yet, we are amongst a few that use it to unwind.

To toy with the mind and play with the heart.

Leaving the soul torn, broken, and falling apart.

Some say it is Karma coming around to repay a debt.

And for a few, the collection due was well set.

Regardless, of the timing or the purpose of it all.

It is still a sad emotion to watch someone you care about fall.

I personally still believe love can be honest and true.

It just all depends on what the definition of that four-letter word...
