Love can look much like a new book.
Page one isn't very good, so you skip a few. Flip past the dull part.
Skim the page, look for the fun one, the bit you can wrap up in.
When you fall into a good book, it's hard to put down. To jump back out, to real life.
It can suck the rest of your day, your week away.
You don't know till you get to the last page, that it's the best book you have ever read.
Love can be like that.
Date one goes well, so you know you want more.
He's just a boy, they say. But you know he's so much more.
You text and call in your free time at work. You grin from ear to ear.
He sees you, sees the real you. It makes you feel joy.
The beat in your body sped up.
He says good bye, see you soon. You call, you talk all night.
Then, you hate it when he's not next to you all day. You miss him. He says he does too.
With a book, you can find a new one and move on from the last. It's not all the same in real life.
Love is like a book. Don't just shut off from the one you love. Open up to them. You see him, and he sees you.
Let him.
He's the best book you have ever read.
