Love is the person who pulls up your sleeves
When your elbow-deep in dishes
And the soap is all over the place
Love is pausing in the pouring rain just to kiss you
Raindrops meeting first before your lips
To make it taste a little wild
Love is flowers hand-picked from abundant gardens
A bouquet mapping their journey to you
So you display them in your livingroom
Love is groceries on a Friday drive home
So you can cook and dance and drink
Just take the night to forget the word
Love is a song you both always sing in the car
Remembering the first time it played
When you’re on your next roadtrip
Love is the show you only watch together
Where you binge it on a weeknight
Muttering ‘one more’ at least twice
Love is the moments you are seen—
Where you are known in a way
That can only mean Love
About the Creator
Obsidian Words
Fathomless is the mind full of stories.
