Love they say is not blind
It supposedly has all seeing eyes
Love they say is kind
Missed my opportunity, why didn’t I just try
Watching him with her, I’m losing my envious mind
Why didn’t I tell him how much I truly cared?
Now I’ve lost my chance, if only I had dared?
He was everything I was longing for
God how I wish I’d given him more
If only I’d opened my eyes to see
This beautiful man standing in front of me
Our eyes don’t always notice, we see obliviously
That Man I friend-zoned, he was meant for me
Stupendously thinking he was out of my league
Instead distorted thoughts fooled me I was unworthy
Devastated, I should have taken a chance on his fine voreeg
So I ask you, for how can love be truly kind
When evidently, love is so blind?
