Love in the Opera has a way of Finishing

Musical Chairs

By Rob AngeliPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

love in the opera has a way of finishing

a motivational mania may skirt a deathwish

so

is it not better to have closure?

[l’amour] [la mort]

tristan thirsts on the seashore

counting sandgrains and pebbleshells

LOUDLY

where unicellular organisms languish

he awaits his irish child on the shore

softly

the alleged secret of the hiss

spirit of the shadow [surely]

sacred of seashells

mild and lithesome

finishing in the opera has a way of loving

a maniacal motivation may wish for a lifebloom

so

what can they expect to feel when the curtain drops?

[so hard] [so soft]

[how he smiles]

the italian pathos of a bloody wedding

of course my exsanguine lucy with her knife of lovelights

a glassy bird flutes to summon her absent mate

by lectricity in the voice and in the lighting

which makes the stagey paste faint pop up glow

wunderfly garish within the dolce sono

death in the theatre is a feast of loving

the lure that leads it on may be its poison

so

why not be prompt for the masque?

[so far] [now near]

[poverina]

slowly please she’s sad the poverina so sad slowing and when I am laid am laid in earth [loop] hear the lights so rich no trouble in the lament and the lure here remember me hear my suffering as a welcome guest here death is now but no trouble is now a welcome remembrance no trouble in my breast her explicative melodizing no troubles in thy breast remember my tune but ah Forget my Fate REMEMBER ME BUT AH FORGET MY FATE so slowly wozzeck slowly

o my dear pappykins cher

how i love ‘im

i jump into dis Arno

if you don’t lemme wed ‘im

love in the opera has a way of finishing

a motivational mania may skirt a deathwish
